The Role of Women in Improving the Family Economy Viewed from the Perspective of Islamic Economics
Case Study of Home Industry Variety of Chips and UMKM Stuffed Ciherang Village Pondok Caringin District Bogor Regency

Women with all limitations try to help their husbands work to earn a living so that the needs of family life can be met. There are factors that make women finally decide to work. Such factors are economic circumstances and opportunities. However, women workers in the home industry and SMEs in the village of Ciherang Pondok provide concrete evidence that exists in the community about the role of women in helping to improve the family economy. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach. In data collection, the authors used primary data and secondary data. Data obtained through interviews and direct observation in the field in this study: interviews have been conducted to support statements that assume that women have an important role in addition to the domestic space and also have a role in the public sphere, especially women who are already the head of the family. Interviews conducted with five female Narasumberts play an important role in family life (domestic) and society (public). Women as wives can work as long as their work does not violate the rules of Shari'a and in accordance with the principles of Islamic economics, namely the principle of Ta'awun and the principle of maslahat
